In my opinion, every mama needs an Easy DIY Taco Seasoning recipe in her collection. For the past couple of years, I have been making my own, rather than buying it at the grocery store. The flavor is wonderful and I love that I know what is in it. It’s simple, cheap, and delicious. Did I mention it was easy?
Today, I’m sharing a recipe for a DIY taco seasoning your family is sure to enjoy!
A few fun facts first. Tacos are my Love Language. Truly. I do my best to meal plan for some form of Mexican food once a week, even if it doesn’t fall on “Taco Tuesday.” Everyone in our family eats these meals well and I love to make taco salads with the leftovers.
This DIY taco seasoning works well with ground turkey or beef, leftover roast, or chicken. It also pairs well with the homemade salsa my mom makes each year. So yummy!
It almost seems unfair to call this a recipe. All I really do is measure the spices out, dump it in my (ultra fancy) garlic jar, and shake it up. Each making yields enough seasoning for 3-4 pounds of meat.
